Jacob is homeless. He is also hungry, cold, and lacks the necessary willpower to make smart decisions. This is the man that once had everything: youth, a car, and even a girlfriend. But when the job market went sideways, he spiralled from everything to nothing. He now begs for money on streets to keep himself alive. One cold night, he walks all the way across town to go buy some alcohol. When he gets there, the store is closed. A man appears from the shadows and offers him not food, but something else. He tells Jacob that the drug will take all his worries away. That’ll make him feel like a new person. He reminds Jacob that it’s a new drug and because of that, that he’ll give it for free. On one condition – he reports back in the next day. When mother said: "Don’t take stuff from strangers." She was right. Horror evil lurks everywhere.

He soon finds out that post apocalyptic world out there is cruel. He is not only fighting for her survival – but his. And the clock is ticking.

At first their personalities clash, but later, they find each other’s company enjoyable and necessary for survival. Together, on the new planet, they discover that the Resistance didn’t tell them everything; that mining minerals isn’t the only thing going on.
